The 3D render farm (cont')

As the expectations in 3D render quality rise this render farm is expanded on. The nature of this technology allows us to add and upgrade this array piece by piece. For example, if AMD design a new computer chip then we can add two of them to the render farm, regardless of the older chips being used, and they will function perfectly. Each 3D rendering is distributed to each computer processor and if the new, faster processors finish early then they will help the slower ones finish the job. As more processors are added to the render farm the cooling requirements increase. Air conditioning units are added progressively. As you may imagine, the electricity bill is high!
